things i like

I always find it interesting to hear about what my favourite artists like, so I thought I'd make a page all about stuff that I like. I won't be offended if you don't read it. But here it is.

If you want to see what I'm listening to right this second, you should add me on

I listen to a lot of music on Spotify so you should follow me there. All of my favourite songs on Spotify end up in this playlist, which you can follow.

I also find lots of new music on SoundCloud, so I make monthly playlists to keep track of my favourites.

More SoundCloud playlists:

2014: September, August, July, June, April, March, February, January

2013: Best of 2013, December, November, October, September, August, July, June

Books: I like reading them! To see what I'm reading now, add me on Goodreads.

In 2014, I've been trying to read a book a week. You can see my progress here: 52 Books.

Films: are neat. To see what I've been watching, check out my ratings on IMDb.

Blogs: my favourite blog is probably The Great Discontent. They do fascinating, in-depth interviews with creative people and their website is just beautiful. I find loads of cool stuff via Swiss Miss, and read James Altucher's blog when I need to get inspired.

Nerd stuff: I use Field Notes notebooks, Trello for my to-do list, and Evernote to keep track of my entire life.

Charity stuff: I support the work of charity: water because everyone should have access to clean water. I also support Christian Aid and Send a Cow, and find out about new non-profits by giving $1 a day to different causes via Dollar a Day.

Talented friends

Tom Price is my best friend. He takes photos and makes music videos.

Duncan Howsley made this website. He also takes photos and makes music videos.

Making merch is one of my favourite things about music. I've been lucky enough to work with some incredible designers like Nicholas Stevenson, Ben J. Wood, Secretly Swedish, Matt Withers and twoducksdisco. Check them out!

I use Black Ink to print my merch in Germany, and Get a Grip in the UK. They're both DIY and punk rock and lovely.

Fun stuff

When I was recording my new album V in Cleveland this spring, Tom and I recorded a "radio show" every day on the way to the studio. You can hear it below.

I toured Europe in spring 2012. Alone. In my car. Rather than write a regular blog, I decided to keep an audio tour diary. It's called Motion Sickness
